Teaching assistant

At Queen Eleanor Primary Academy, we are highly committed to our vision of excellence for all members of our school community. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to join our talented team for October 2021, or later for the right candidate.

We are dedicated to providing a high-quality education for all the pupils who attend our school, regardless of their diverse starting points. We also believe in the importance of staff development and the successful candidate can be assured that they will receive the support that they need to help them excel. In addition, we seek to provide all of our teachers with opportunities to lead whole school initiatives, develop their leadership potential and take ownership of their own professional development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have at least Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Be dedicated to achieving best possible outcomes for pupils in line with the school’s values and ethos.
  • Work flexibly as part of a team, challenge, encourage and motivate others and collaborate to help the school make progress towards its goals.
  • Engage with the school community, building strong working relationships with parents.

Queen Eleanor Primary Academy has served the community of Far Cotton since 1952. It is situated on the edge of the local recreation ground, just a short walk from Delapre Abbey. The school converted to an academy in September 2013, sponsored by Creative Education Trust. There are currently 225 pupils in the school, approximately 35% of whom are eligible for free school meals. Approximately half of the children speak English as an additional language. The school is a vibrant community where excellence, diversity and creativity are routinely celebrated. Visits to the school are highly recommended.

Queen Eleanor Primary Academy and Creative Education Trust are committed to safer recruitment and any offers of employment made will be subject to satisfactory checks including checks of the candidate’s suitability to work with children.
