Forest School Provision Growing at Queen Eleanor Primary Academy

We’re delighted to share some exciting news about outdoor learning at Queen Eleanor Primary Academy! One of our staff members has recently achieved Level 3 Forest School Leader status – a nationally recognised qualification that enables them to lead high-quality outdoor learning experiences for our pupils.

Forest School is an approach to education that takes place in a natural environment, encouraging children to explore, discover, and learn through hands-on experiences. It promotes confidence, resilience, and a deep connection with nature – all while supporting the curriculum in creative and engaging ways.

This new qualification means we can offer even more opportunities for pupils to enjoy outdoor learning, from building shelters and learning about wildlife to developing teamwork and problem-solving skills. Over the coming months, we’ll be expanding our Forest School sessions and integrating them into our wider curriculum.

We’re proud of the commitment our staff have shown to enriching the learning experiences of every child. Keep an eye on our website and newsletters for updates as our Forest School provision continues to grow!
