Big Quiz Night Brings the Queen Eleanor Community Together
Queen Eleanor’s Big Quiz Night Brings Families Together for an Evening of Fun, Laughter, and Community Spirit
The school hall was bursting with energy, laughter, and friendly competition last night as Queen Eleanor Primary hosted its first ever Big Quiz Night — an event that brought together families, children, and staff for an unforgettable evening of fun and togetherness.
From the moment doors opened, the sense of excitement was unmistakable. Tables filled quickly, the buzz of conversation echoed through the hall, and soon the sound of laughter and good-natured rivalry filled the air. Teams of parents, pupils, and staff tackled rounds on everything from pop culture to picture clues — with a few special school-themed questions thrown in for good measure!
The atmosphere was electric, but what truly made the night special was the sense of community. Families worked together, children took the lead on the trickier questions, and everyone shared in the spirit of connection that defines Queen Eleanor’s values of Ambition, Equity, and Opportunity.
“Our Big Quiz Night was about much more than winning — it was about belonging. Seeing so many families laughing, talking, and enjoying time together in our school hall reminded us exactly why Queen Eleanor is such a special place. We want our families to see this as their space — a home from home.”
Headteacher, Mr Wallace
The event marks the first of many community evenings planned for the year ahead, as Queen Eleanor continues its commitment to placing the school at the heart of the local community. With its welcoming atmosphere and focus on togetherness, the Big Quiz Night set the tone for what promises to be a wonderful year of shared experiences.
As one parent commented on the way out:
“It was such a lovely night — you could really feel the warmth in the room. We can’t wait for the next one!”

The clear message from the evening was that when families, children, and school come together, everyone wins.
