Pupils at Queen Eleanor have access to new and emerging technologies which support them in their learning.
We have a large field which is fully enclosed and is used by the school for sports activities and also by local community groups.

There is a large tree lined playground equipped with a wide range of climbing and balancing apparatus. In addition there is a smaller playground set out for playing games such as netball and other team and individual games.

The central courtyard provides a quiet area for relaxation.

We have a fish tank in reception and a bearded dragon in Year Five classrom which assist in developing the children's responsibilities through the care of these creatures.

In our garden pupils can develop their perseverance and team work by clearing, planting and harvesting our home grown produce. Our youngest pupils are skilled cooks, using our home grown vegetables and to prepare tasty snacks.

Everyone enjoys going outside to learn. We offer a full range of educational trips for all pupils both within the locality and further afield.

Queen Eleanor Academy works together with other local schools as part of a Cluster Group. There are many sports and arts projects organised within the Cluster and the links and opportunities are
strengthening each year.

As part of the Cluster Group we have regular access to specialist facilities that other schools have to offer. These include:

  • Forest School at East Hunsbury
  • Drama studio, Music suite and Goals Centre at Abbeyfield School
